What gives? Why cant I leave now? No symptoms. Any reason the world can't start again?

Was nobody else doing what I did?

If you were sick, got tested 2 weeks ago, and then stayed home, you would be good to go.

Problem is there was no tests then, and you wouldn't have been able to get tested.

Without that, you probably have not had the virus yet.

Even young people are dying (about 25% of cases are people under 50) so you would be literally gambling with your life, especially if alot of other people did the same thing.

I STILL think the best bet is to A: Get plenty of tests, B: have everyone over 70 totally isolate for now. C: have a core 20% of the US (but include anyone currently sick in that number) work and go out as normal, even offering to have them volunteer to get the virus (so we know for sure when they get it, and to save a test).

After 2 weeks, all those people are cleared (use tests to ensure it). Release another 20% and repeat until everyone who isn't A: over 70 and or B: high risk are out and back to work.

That could be as llttle as 4 weeks from now, and at the most 6 weeks.

Now mind you people would die.....there is no getting around that sadly, but it sounds like we are all going to get it anyway. By controlling WHO gets it, to those least likely to die, and making most of the population immune, you could end this much faster and greatly reduce the risk to the elderly and sick.

It's not a perfect solution mind you, but it could solve this quickly.

Without that, I believe we are either looking a long haul, or worse, a much larger percentage of the country getting it all at once or within a few weeks, as it spreads by people shopping for groceries, people working emergency jobs and then going back home, people delivering food to everyone etc.

Course my idea will not fly, it won't happen, and most people are pretty afraid of even a small chance of dying to the idea of people volunteering to get the virus is crazy.

I admit i'm crazy.

It still seems like the most logical plan to me.

Were you sick?

the whole point of quarantining is to keep the virus from spreading. But if you didnt have it in the first place, your quarantine did nothing...

I mean you could leave the house tomorrow and catch it. Do you think the virus just disappears from the air after 2 weeks or something?

I could do this all day.
Yeah yeah, I know...
