Is it fun and fairly straightforward to wrap your head around? Ive only played D&D when it comes to pen and paper games. Theres a humble bundle of a bunch of the books and Im thinking of getting it just so that my wife and I could play through some of the pre-built scenario books

While I've played a few (and listened to many, many, MANY) different games, I don't think so. I have played Shadowrun, which was super fun while it lasted...

I've never played it, but I believe it's either a D6, or a D10 system. Way different than the D20 system you're used to.
