I was subscribed to this youtube channel for a long time and over the past week the dude started making videos about how liberal media spreads disinformation and conservative media is unfairly censored on social media. I made a couple lengthy comments criticizing his videos and he deleted one and marked another as spam or something(nobody could see it but me). It pissed me off because his videos were totally disingenuous and just came across as pandering, and also because I've known him for a long time and interacted with him in livestreams. To be fair I'm not entirely sure he blocked my comments, but I'm well acquainted with youtube's auto-delete function and it definitely wasn't that.

I dunno what it was, but probably whatever got me on Frozen Bananas ignore list (I think its him). I dont care personally, but its weird to block literally 90% of a boards regular users.

fox reports the news during certain parts of the day, but their primetime shows that most people tune in for deliberately mislead viewers and regularly make false claims to fuel outrage on the right

I recently got blocked from a random board I had never even heard of previously. One of the posters had a serious problem. They made multiple topics about the scourge of "SJWs" in games and other media. But what really got to them was the "degeneracy" of TLOU2. So it was the gays that triggered them far beyond any other sjw topics. They even justified murder and how that was acceptable in games but not gay "degeneracy". Bunch of people called them out on their nonsense and all they could do was deflect.

I then pointed out that while disapproval of these subjects is far from uncommon, people that are so over the top hostile are usually hiding something themselves. They get exposed so often it's become a meme. Like that virulent anti gay Hungary PM that got busted the other day at a lockdown gay orgy. I got my post deleted. But guess they were so pissed that wasn't enough. Later I got blacklisted from the board so that person was probably the community mod. Imagine having a joke like that running a board. My words must have really hit a nerve cause other people insulted them and nothing happened. The truth hurts I guess.

Long ago, probably early-mid 00s there were AIM chats with the boards, at the time I posted on CE. There was this one guy who was cool and we got to talking, and it seemed like i was making a new internet friend.

We got to talking about the TV show Roseanne, and one scene where Roseanne and her husband argue but it is a pivotal moment in their relationship. The guy I was talking to said it reminded him of his own parents, so that scene always hit him hard.

I replied with "were your parents also fat like Dan and Roseanne"

Now, I get it, thats a dumb and insensitive thing to say, but I was just making an immature joke as teenager.

Never spoke to the guy again after that. Didn't expect him to take it so seriously, but it is what it is.

Lmao I made a joke to a Korean guy about how it's fashionable to not wear socks with shoes over there and made a joke about how their feet must stink. He didn't like that and stopped talking to me I'm sure their feet are fine I was just joking around.

Peanut121 or whatever on this board blocked me for linking to an article where teens were demanding government restrictions on vaping. He then made a big deal about the fact that I was the first person in his however-many-years of being online that he blocked. That one came out of left field.

Oh, then some asshole who was part of a YT channel wound up blocking me for criticizing some his dumb shit arguments in a video. I had watched the channel for years, some of my comments had previously been liked by somebody associated with the channel, and then a shitbag associated with the channel flipped on me because I dared to question a comparison he drew. Out of curiosity, I just looked up the channel again -- while it's still going -- apparently it's down to under 20k subscribers, where it used to be bigger. Granted, the biggest name associated with the channel went solo (and now has 300k subs) and it probably tanked after that.

Because it has a conservative leaning instead of a far-left leaning, which is an unforgiveable sin to zealous off-the-board leftists who insist that it's okay for other media to outright lie because they're on the "correct" side and, even if the facts are hilariously wrong, the narrative is "correct."
