I thought it was interesting but the sequel Alien Covenant pissed me off because they completely skip over the ending from Prometheus.

At the end of Promethius I was hyped when that lady was taking a ship to go confront the species that created humans. But in Alien Covenent they just skip over it and move on. The very thing I was excited to see is treated like a nothing thing

Did you actually watch Covenant? The entire movie is about exactly that.
