I'm near the end of The Surge 2, and I'm 2 bosses into Bloodborne, and these games are so fun. On paper, 3 is way better with its faster combat, more expansive areas and better boss fights, but ,yeah, I prefer ole janky 2 for whatever reason even though so many of the decisions with it annoy me to no end. It is so bizarre. Although, 1 will always be my favorite. Everything about that game is so iconic. I'd suggest you try a Soulsborne lite game, like Fallen Order or Code Vein. If you want to just dive in, apparently Bloodborne is the best at teaching you how to properly play Soulsborne games.
