and if Im honest, I was underwhelmed by it
I enjoyed a lot of the songs and performances which I know is largely the point of a musical, but all of the songs sounded very contemporary which sorta took me out of everything, and the plot itself just never ended up feeling very compelling to me. My 8 year old loved that movie for a while. She'd dance across the couch singing the songs while she rewatched it for the thousandth time. It's fine.
