Imagine being so basic that you sit in a 3 wide line at lunchtime instead of going to 1 of the hundred other restaurants around, or ordering delivery.

No fast food is that good. CFA had had this shit going on forever.

Typical their service is pretty good. They do this weird thing where employees will come to you and ask if you need anything. Once in a mall they even offered to refill my drink in the food court, and I didnt even order chic fil a lmao. I was halfway through a plate of bang bang chicken.

The whole setup behind the scenes, in the back of house that is, is set up to be able to dish out Hella product. Like chic fil a buffers everything. They keep dozens of Buns pre toasted, a dozen or more reg chicken sammies in a warming chute, and boxes of nuggets in the chutes as well. What this allows them to do is serve a shit ton of customers at one time, regardless (to an extent) of order sizes. I work there.

I worked at McDonald's a few years ago, before chick fil a. They are anti buffering anything at all. Like they don't hold Buns so basically every order they have to wait 25 seconds just for the bun to get done. Where at chic fil a the shit is done and in the shoot before its ordered. It's laughable how shitty McDonald's is comparatively from an operational standpoint.

The whole model is meant to work optimally when they're busy. No food is fast when it's made to order. It's fast when they can sell shit(mostly chicken and waffle fries in this case) as fast as they can make it.

Otherwise you're either gonna wait or you're gonna get old food.

Yeah, the Chic-Fil-A here recently moved to a new lot with a HUGE drive-thru lane. Llike they have about a half mile of Drive-Thru lane on their lot. Even pulling in when the line is backed up to the end, you're out of there in 15 minutes max.
15 minutes in a giant ass drive thru for fast food chicken.
