What would you do?






Your little brother has a wife and kids. You always thought he was happily married.

Until one day you accidentally walk in on him going at it with a really hot young babe. Your brother then reveals that he has 4 or 5 girls on the side, who he has casual sex with all the time his average aging wife isn't around.

"Hey what she doesn't know won't hurt her right? I got a good thing going here. Everyone wins." he says

Now you know he's cheating, you can't unknow it.

My brother and I have never lived together (different moms, dad got remarried), so I can't imagine I'd ever be able to just talk in on him like that...

But if I did somehow find out he was cheating, I'd express my concerns. If he doesn't listen the first time, I wouldn't get involved beyond that.

In all seriousness, 4 or 5 side partners is a lot. He may be putting all those individuals at risk of stds. And I also think of the kids, having a cheating father would not be good for them.

Have a talk with him and then the wife. Both need to make decisions that are the best for both of them.

The people who are saying they won't do anything are condoning cheating, and are just as bad.

I'd give the bother time to tell the wife, a week or so, and if he doesn't do it, I'd do it myself. She has a right to know if she's being cheated on.

This is quite the leap to make. The act of not telling someone something isn't inherently a lie. Unless she straight up asks you, "is your brother cheating on me," you are under no obligation to tell her.

Like I said above. I can tell her, lose the trust of my brother, and most likely lose the trust of said wife (because she will want nothing to do with the whole family after such an experience, I would think)

OR

I can not tell her, she (eventually) finds out on her own and leaves the family anyways, but at least maintain a relationship with my brother, the more important of the two people.

Honor is a pretty bad thing to bring into what is already an honor-less situation.
