Your daughter is being harshly bullied at school by Brad. The captain of the football team and all around asshole. He's been calling her an ugly whore, spreading rumors about her and ringleading others into picking on her until she's the priraiah of the popular kids.

More than once she's come home in tears from the bullying.

The school doesn't do anything because Brad's family is one of its biggest financial donors, the bullying is non physical, he's a prodigy athlete and is primed to make the state a fortune in the future.

He's also your boss' son and you're in the middle of trying to get a massive life changing promotion which makes things more awkward. It's been hard paying the bills since your spouse died.

One day you're with your daughter when your boss puts his arm around you and says

"You know it's been real tough choosing who between you and Cleet should get this promotion. But I think I may offer it to you. Know why? Because I like team players and I think you're a team player. You know when to own up to mistakes and make things right."

Then he leads you and your daughter into a room where Brad and Brad's friends are waiting with shit eating grins on their face.

"It seems your daughter has been accusing my dear son of all sorts of nasty things. Which is very rude I think she ought to apologize for that. Don't you?"

Some of Brad's friends are recording with their phones. Brad has his hand around his ear mockingly.

"....Dad?" Your daughter says looking up at you, almost In tears again.

"Then again maybe I should reconsider, Cleets a good worker after all. Maybe he does deserve the promotion after all. What do you think?" Your boss adds while lighting a cigar

I'd probably find a new damn job. Fuck those people. I'd also see about if there's ANY way whatsoever they could be reprimanded for that shit, but I'd probably fail since I'm not good at that stuff. Also if you take the deal, you risk your daughter's mental health declining further which could lead to suicide. Especially since the assholes have their phones out to record it.

The topic isn't about whether it would happen. It's just a hypothetical situation of what you would do in a specific situation.
