My aunt was able to control hers with dietary changes. I seem to recall she stopped eating red meat all together. Lemme ask her and find out exactly what she changed, though it may differ person to person I'm not sure

Who the fuck told you that? It's an auto-immune disease. My aunt had it.
Edit: Speaking of, Jen, if you have had any other minor but long-lasting symptoms of health problems like lethargy or pain or digestive problems or whatever, you should probably get checked out for other auto-immune diseases. I can only speak from personal experience but in my family, this shit comes in groups. Rosecea, Sjogren's, Lupus, and Fibromyalgia in just my aunt. Her kids have problems, too.

The derm said it isn't auto immune. But I am in the process of getting checked out for some digestive issues I'm having.

For the record, most auto immune diseases are triggered by environmental factors.

Basically genetics loads the gun but environmental factors pull the trigger. If not for those environmental factors, the person might not have developed said disease despite being genetically predisposed to it.

I just thought it was acne. I just went to get a consult for products but he said it's rosacea. I am very melanin deficient so I get red a lot anyway. I noticed mostly the tip of my nose being red a lot more. So it's noticeable but I just thought it was because I was so pale and had sensitive skin. It's not super bad or anything.

Oh I forgot to mention I spoke with my aunt and she was diagnosed before they had all the tests they have now so she pretty much had to do process of elimination with her diet. You can probably get the same answers with a simple blood test now. But she learned she has sensitivities to gluten and dairy and something else... she's okay if she has a little of one or the other but if she does something like have cake and ice cream she gets headaches and shit.

Interesting. My derm said alcohol and spicy food can be triggers but not general diet staples. The medication is working well enough that I prob won't worry about it. Any diet changes rn are going to relate to trying to find out my abdominal issues rn.
