And bro culture is toxic?

I read this on CE maybe a few weeks ago, and was very surprised. How is getting in shape specifically, and self-betterment in general, bad? Although, I admit, I don't go to the gym, so don't know what the "atmosphere" is like there.

Instead of bitching about something that someone here said weeks ago....maybe you should've asked the poster in question.

Its not, fuck anyone who says self improvement is wrong. Gyms are normally pretty quiet. Especially in small towns, itll probably just be a small handful of people there. The one I go to, its super common for me to be the ONLY person there.

Maybe its different for big cities, but in my experience, most people are just there to get their workout in, and thats it.

You can go to the gym without being an arrogant douche about it. Many people do. To be clear (mostly for the trigger-happy mods), I am not implying TC does be an arrogant douche about it; the "you" here is in the general sense.

Going to the gym is great.

Being obnoxious at the gym (tri pod for your cell phone, using the gym as more of a hangout spot rather than an exercise center) is broish
