It's biggest claim to fame seems simply to be that it is one of the oldest states, and used to have a lot of political power.

We get:

  • All the seasons.
  • Harbor Capital that's pretty accessible from most of the state except the west.
  • The social programs are great.
  • Lots of historical places from Plymouth to Boston to Salem.
  • LOTS of hospitals and schools, so you could practically find a doctor for everything.


But...

  • Our transit system is on fire.
  • Our sports fans are arrogant.
  • Our taxes are high because we subsidize way too many poor states.
  • Pretty expensive to live in general.
  • No one knows how to spell the state's name.

If Baltimore is kmart, and New York City is walmart, then Boston is Target.

It's a little more expensive, a lot more white, and the selection isn't quite as good, but it's cleaner.

I generally think it is more of an outsider thing. Outside of the sports stuff, I only really see us as being more..... focused on things? .... Like, if you were in Boston, yeah, people have places to get to, so it comes off cold that people are just so..... driven to get from point A-to-B. Other than that, I've seen nothing.
