Digital has no manufacturing, packaging, or shipping costs, and 1st-party games don't have the eshop commission fee. There is no good reason whatsoever for it to be priced the same as physical.

Outside the same reason that has been told for. Retailers would be pissed if by default they are under cut price wise for games that they most likely will see a constant supply of over the course of months to years.

Considering what the game looks like its really not expensive.

Yeah this is essentially a remake. Probably using the Prime 4 engine which is incredibly promising

Its a remaster though. The Wii was the same and was $60 for 3 games. Metroid Prime on the GC was like $3 after it went out of print for like the 3rd time. This is a $20 game essentially.

I have the game. I didnt pay for it. Maybe Im just not used to the Switch not having the best graphics already. I know for a fact its not considered a remake and we cant disagree there at least lol.

They said in the Nintendo Direct that the physical edition would be released at a later date. It can't be sold out because there hasn't been an allotment made yet. I pre-ordered mine through Best Buy.

So no amiibo? and nothing extra with the pre order?

Apparently there will be physical copies at physical stores but I think I will order the multi language physic copy and I better vote for alderman and mayor today.

Yeah, just about every single model and texture in the game got a pretty significant rework. It's a huge improvement

Its a Hikaru Utada vinyl record that was stated for the 27th of January and has no release date for it and unavailable on Amazon.

ive heard most retailers are sold out of their preorders. Might have some luck with GameStop according to Wario64.

She has some things on Netflix that can be watched (assuming youre in the Us or have access to it) and both the Live Sessions and Laughter in the Dark have translations. There is also a Betflux show based on her songs First Love/Hatsukoi as well.

It's been a blast replaying it with the updated visuals and dual stick controls. This game means a lot to me, so to see it get more love than the usual remaster has me overjoyed

It is when you consider there is a relationship that most developers/publishers have with Retailers and thats something you dont want to potentially damage by giving them a more expensive version of a product you are selling for cheaper prices.

Yeah, there's debate on if this is a remaster or remake due to how much of an overhaul the graphics are. Because of the lighting and textures added, it's not just a basic HD upscale.

Nintendo have a history of shutting down their online stores and you losing your content. Digital copies most definitely arent always available.

I mean their history is really just one case with the 3DS and Wii U, prior wasnt their fault as they were using Game Spy servers which were shut down.

Plus even with the 3DS and Wii U shutting down its more shutting down the ability to purchase not the ability to redownload.

Ahh right honestly wasnt fully sure if you could or not. I think the only not guaranteed thing with digital titles is less servers going down and more pulled content.

Its just a con to get you to have to buy the games again.
