Even if we put aside the dumb shit he believes and peddles to the masses, I wouldn't want someone like him to be a co-worker. I wouldn't want him to be my barista. I wouldn't even want to pass him on the street.

He's a loudmouth with a 50 word vocabulary who can barely string them together into coherent sentences. He has the charisma of a toddler having a temper tantrum. That's what you want leading the country? That's your hero and savior? Just because he's rich and complains about what you complain about?

I know. To this day, I can sympathize with frustration with the establishment, but seeing Trump as any kind of credible answer to that establishment is perplexing and would be laughable if it weren't so stupid and destructive.

Hes an overspoken asshole "bad boy" that says all the things a president shouldn't say, and the people clinging onto the "America FUCK YEAH" mentality with their giant trucks and firearms love him for it. They think it makes our nation look bad ass when some racist white dude pumps his arm and makes false promises while talking bad about other nations.

Keep in mind, people as a group are *very* stupid. Easily tricked and misled. Where an individual might be critical thinking and careful in their judgements, if their friends believe something they're very likely to believe it as well.

This feeds into Trump's cult-of-personality lifestyle. The lowest common denominator types buy the hype and as a result their less gullible friends follow along to be part of the group. Combine that with the US's standard identity politics and you hit a perfect storm for the Cult Of Trumpism. If every member of said cult was to assess the situation individually it would likely fall apart, but taken as a group they re-affirm each other's belief in what is very clearly a massive pile of bullshit. No one wants to dissent lest they become an outcast and therefore a target.

At first it was because he was an "outsider" and that he was a business man who wouldn't be corrupted by bribes or something. But you had to be an incurious fundie dimwit who believes everything from News Corp to believe anything like that anyway.

The most perplexing part to me is the people who swear up and down he's a tough, macho alpha male. The man can't go three days without crying about how unfair and mean people are to him. I just can't with that level of ignoring the obvious.
