no it's a bulk bin

i put the loose product into a baggie and tie it with a twist tie. then i put the bin number on the twist tie. so instead of putting the accurate number for pine nuts, i wrote the number for walnut pieces instead.

No. Places are cracking down on self-checkout theft because it's such a problem. They'll review footage if something is short and go after you even weeks later. I try to avoid them, because I've heard that even mistakes have lead to prosecutions.

Why IS deodorant expensive?

Never something that extreme (if you can call that extreme) but I did used to pick out the spice drop flavors I liked in the bin (don't like white ones at all, but love orange/red/green/black or purple). I wouldn't touch em, just use the scoop to get the flavors I liked lol.

Yellow and purple/black are my favorites followed by green. I have not had them in years though since I'm diabetic now.......they may have contributed to me becoming diabetic though not as much as soda.

Not from the grocery store, but years ago my brother and I managed to snag some steam codes off some Gamestop coverboxes.

Longer ago when I was a kid I almost stole a candy bar from a candy store. My mother was waiting in the car for me to buy a snack and I almost ran out the store with the candy in hand to show my mother that I wanted to buy it

Something similar happened to me when I was a kid, but I actually did it. My family went to a convenience store, but only two of us went in at first, me and someone else. While inside the other person wanted someone in the car to come in for some reason or other, so I ran out to fetch them but I stayed in the car. It wasn't until several minutes after we left that I realized I never paid for the candy I grabbed before I ran outside..

Having worked with multiple embezzlers, from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands, they were all crummy. They're all snide, over confident people with huge egos. They feel deserving and clever while only thinking of themselves.

These companies have insurance for theft, just like most of us with our home owners and auto insurance.
So, again, you're not "sticking it to the man", you're just trying to justify your immoral decisions. Like, is that really a good or productive way to send a message?

What, a buck a day is huge theft? I think stores are more worried about the gangs of people that come in with giant shopping carts, load them with a ton of merch and get out with thousands of dollars of stolen goods. The police aren't going to bother with crap like this, so the store will have to eat it all. It is why if you go to a Wal-Mart or the like, everything is practically locked up now a days. I've seen items as low as $5 locked within security cages. Makes it a pain in the butt to buy anything

Well, it is other stores not just Wal-Mart, they just are the store than seems to have invested the most in security measures & have thier inventory the most locked down. Regardless, I want B&M to succeed. I don't want the entire retail space to be the Amazon empire, but if it the shopping experience is major pain like it often is in B&M, I feel like people will be forced to go to Amazon more and more and it isn't exactly like they are a rose garden either.

Also, just so you all know, prices go up regardless of the amount of shoplifting, and they generally don't go down. Losing a few million a year is pennies to a multi-billionaire. Meanwhile they get hundreds of millions in tax breaks and wage theft, which the poor have to cover in their own taxes.

They also donate to charity for pr with what is essentially our money, and once again get a tax break for it. A ton of them also commit Mass SA, and cause mass starvation and death, and all they have to do is pay a negligable fine for it.

But yes, let's think about the poor billionaires!

Ya know I recall a certain over the counter medicine that got popular cause you could get high off it. My friend would shop lift the shit regularly. I watched the price go from 5 bucks to pushing 8 in under a year

If I find out I accidentally left without scanning something I walk back in and pay for it.

I don't really have a moral objection to you doing it to Walmart, I just don't mess with that kind of drama.

That much in such a short period of time though was unreal. Other things prices didnt spike like that at that time. Wasn't long after they started keeping it behind the counters. Back then they had a placard where it used to be on the shelf letting you know. Nowadays they just expect you to know and I think a lot of places just quit carrying it.

Used to piss me off cause yeah I did that drug but I was willing to pay for it. 5 bucks and some change for something that would have you intensely fucked up the rest od the day? Yeahbit was the cheapest high you could buy but people still felt thr need to steal it
