Apparently too expensive and didn't really profit. Julia Roberts apparently slept her way through the cast members causing rifts. ellis123 09/29/23 9:50:08 PM #7:	That happened a lot during that era as that was before it was really hammered in that having a large marketing budget was essentially the only thing that mattered when it came to public acceptance on any given thing. When mixed with the movie industry becoming radically easier to get into (specifically the ability to make a movie) in the 80's-90's that time period was ripe for "cult classics" that most people were shocked didn't do well. --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome? She actually went to go hide out in Ireland during the middle of Hook's production and only came back because Spielberg threatened to fire her. As an adult I rewatched it for my friend's podcast and it was as bad as I had remembered it.
