If it's the "perfect" game, then that means the Normal and higher difficulties would be balanced really well so the Normal difficulty wouldn't be frustratingly difficult to beat, and the game would have the proper optional accessibility features for disabled players (or gaming journalists) to still be able to enjoy the game just fine on Normal mode. So sure, in this case, not having a separate easy mode would be fine.

If a game has more than one mode, the easiest mode is easy mode regardless of what they call it.

Because you like everything about the game except the base difficulty level.

I'm a normal difficulty man myself because I assume that's the baseline for what the developers intended.

Do you think the perfect puzzle should be six pieces

If a game is too difficult for some people to enjoy or too easy for other people to enjoy, then it literally cannot be the "perfect" game because how much a player enjoys playing the game is part of that. For a game to be "perfect" in theory, it would need to have enough well-balanced difficulty levels (or accessibility options within those difficult levels) so that every kind of player can find an enjoyable experience that's suited to their skill level and that gives them a challenge without being either frustratingly difficult or mind-numbingly easy.

For your puzzle example (which is a disingenuous comparison anyways because modern games are far more complex than a simple puzzle) they would have to sell a bundle of multiple versions of the puzzle, each with different numbers of pieces and different complexity levels to suit different skill levels.

I agree with you about the accessibility features for disabled people, but I think gaming journalists could suffer a bit and it would still be perfect.

That's okay. It's the perfect game so it doesn't need an easy mode. Everything already dies in 1 hit because the player is omnipotent
