Unless that was the point in the first place (see: Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World). Stuff like Reincarnated as a Sword or Vending Machine actually stuck to their premises and got an entertaining story out of it. I'm already not a fan of isekai and stuff like Vending Machine isn't helping... I do have to say that not a lot really happens. There's only a handful of episodes that feel like it drives the plot, while more than half feels filler. If its just the "I copied your homework but changed it a bit" of SAO or whatever the most popular one a was a season or three prior count me the fuck out. I defintely prefer a short to mid length anime of something less played out then Isekai though. Something that actually has something to say or at least plays around with top shelf animation or more complex and intriguing plotting.
