Interesting that they made this it's own original storyline instead of borrowing from any of the ones from the games.

Idk how I exactly feel about it yet. Would probably give it a 7 or so.

I guess it's cool to use Musashi but I feel like he's been an overused historical figure for these types of shows/movies. But it does make it interesting I guess since it makes use of his historical rivalries for potential opponents although I'm not so knowledged about the Yoshioka brothers.

Capcom wanted to revive Onimusha, but failed to do so after basically Shadow dropping the Onimusha 1 remake to basically no one knowing it existed and then went "we might try again later. Maybe."

Honestly I wished they'd remake the Onimusha series. It'd probably end up as a soulslike with Issen mechanics tho.

From after Dawn of Dreams? That was so long ago I forgot what period it was in lol. And I guess technically this show is a sequel since Musashi was after Nobunaga/Hideyoshi times right?

The worst thing Capcom ever did as a company is not apologize for Dawn of Dreams.

I don't know anything about the source material but I did see that it exists. I may watch it at some point

Ending was pretty disappointing.

They pull the "Big Baddy the whole show isn't actually shit" trope. Except when they teased that he survived and might be able to come back to become something, they double down and give him a terrible true ending. And they do that by teasing with "ally was a baddy all along" trope and...even that fizzles out lmao. Like wtf this guy was literally manipulating genma the whole show with telepathic shit the whole time and then you find out that...he's not even a genma himself and is literally nothing special or powerful what the fuck lmao

The last duel with Kojiro callback was decent. Even moreso that they did the historical thing of making Musashi use the oar. But eh.

Dawn of Dreams wasnt bad imo. Had some issues but was still fun.

I too felt Musashi being the mc was overdone as well, but still turned out better than I thought.

I was kinda upset they didnt fight some big ogre demon or have an intelligent demon taunt them about their parts.

It was ok. Better than that crummy Dragons Dogma anime.
