Far as I know, they're the only Atlus development team that is like that. There is an actual end point, but seven hours really isn't enough time to make it there on your first go on Expert (I don't plan on playing it again until the full game is out) while also doing side stuffs so I don't know the exact context for where in the story it ends. AFAIK it's basically just the first first segment of the game in whole, there's a lot there.
