They're copying their tactic by going radio silent and taking the heat until they come back to save it. But No Man's Sky was an indie game that sold a shitload and sold even more later. So Bioware pitch a game they think will please EA. Bioware use Frostbite to please EA but when they ask for support they're told that EA Sports and DICE get priority because their games monetize better. I know some people will say Bioware's downfall began with ME3 or maybe even earlier, but I do believe Bioware's sharp turn downward began when they were forced to use Frostbite for their games. Dragon Age: Inquisition managed to still be good, but I bet it would have been way better if they could have actually used their own engine (one designed for actual RPGs and not FPSs). Andromeda likely would have turned out better too (tho no engine could have saved the bad story and terrible characters we ended up with so who knows).
