Ichigo is still a human that can leave his body and be a soul reaper, even if his soul reaper powers are now his own.

So Kon's role hasn't changed at all.

Episode 20: Ichigo calls his sword by name (not that I remember it) and its a pretty bad ass looking sword, although I had expected the same one he had been using this whole time. Am I supposed to know who that dude is, the guy that is the sword? Is it going to turn out to be one of Ichigo's long lost Ancestors or something like that? Don't answer that.

Sword is called Zangetsu. I don't remember how much they actually talked about the guy you saw at this point, but you're not supposed to recognize him.

Yeah, I think a few of his character designs are heavily inspired from other anime, iirc. I do know that one of the much later characters is supposed to be like blatantly the same as the main character from his own previous works.

Episodes 21 - 24: SPIRIT WORLD!!!! or SOUL SOCIETY!!!! which is it? I dunno. But here we are! First Ichigo fights one on one against Jidanbo the really huge guy that guards the gate/wall that separates Soul Reaper Land from the rest of Not-Soul Reaper Land?, not that that matters. Jida has giant Axes but Ichigo handles him pretty easily. Jida pops open the Gate and this Ichimaru guy who is a Captain of one of the 13 Divisions, i believe, shows up and knocks both Ichigo an Jida back and gate closes. Then we meet Ganju who ride a boar and hates soul-reapers, Ichigo hates him. Then we meet Kukaku, who happens to be Ganju's older sister and she has an amazing rack, she is a friend of the Black Cat whose name I dont remember. After Kukaku helps Ichigo learn how to channel his kai, spirit gun, whatever, she offers to shoot him into the city via her massive cannon:

At least, that's what I'm expecting.

Oh, back to Rukia, she's been moved to the Tower of Repentance to repent for her not so awful sins. 14 days till execution. dun dun dun.

I really liked what I watched of Bleach, which was everything up to The Bounts. I'm sad that they don't have any episodes after 109, because supposedly 109 is the end of the Bounts part and by all accounts the Bount part is so bad that it should just be skipped. But everything before that is good and it gets amazing later on.

The Bounts are vague vampire rip-offs that serve as a long stretch of filler. That's not a spoiler, btw. I'm telling you everything I know from only a few episodes before I couldn't stand it any longer.

Episodes 25 - 27:
We find out Ganju hates soul reapers because his brother was killed by one. Our group gets shot into Seireitei (which I will be referring to as Soul Village). It wasn't like Secret of Mana at all, it was a little different. They end up exploding and getting separated. Ganju/Ichigo, Orihime/Uryu, Chad, Black Cat. Ichigo fights with Ikkaku who has a crazy sword / spear / whip thing. Ichigo had some trouble but ended up victorious and then heals Ikkaku. Ganju gets into a fight with Yumichika but it's not really a fight Ganju just runs and keeps turning things into Sand. And Orihime just gets chased around a whole bunch. Chad tries to to locate anyone he can and I guess thats about it. Oh we find out that Shop Keeper was apparently an amazing Soul Reaper once, i'm sure more on that will come soon enough. Not much on Rukkia other than her being pitiful and I really like the little girl that rides on teh abck of that Soul Reaper with the patch, eventhough we know next to nothign about her.

Episode 28:
Ganju outsmarts Yumichika and blows up a firework in his face which was pretty funny, especially since prior to that Ichigo was screaming for Ganju to send up some fireworks so that he could find where he had run off to (obviously Ganju never heard this screamed request). While Ichigo and Ganju were busy dealing with their mess Uryu and Orihime got into their own with this Giant Soul Reaper on a roof that can turn his sword into abunch of flying daggery things. Uryu easily dispatches the Soul Reapers Projectiles and then hits him with an attack which takes away the ability for him to even be a Soul Reaper anymore. Pretty rockin move. I'm starting to like Uryu a bit more, he is currently my least favorite out of everyone I've met.

Episodes 29 & 30: Ahhh Lots of running around and no one knows where they are going! What are we to do. Oh hey Ichigo and Ganju have picked up a straggler and its the cleaning / feeding boy from Unit 4 that is LITERALLY OBSESSED with Rukia he wants to help Ichigo and Ganju rescue Rukia because he thinks she is amazing because she tells him stories about how Ichigo taught her how to use a Juice Box (a drink so complicated that even Rukia how difficulty with it O_o). A run through the sewers, YAY!!!!! they'll never catch us in here! Of course Renji is waiting for them when they get out. BATTLE TIME!

Episode 31: Ichigo vs. Renji; THE REMATCH! so for a 15 year old kid Ichigo can really take a beating. A majority of the episode was flashbacks to Ichigo's training with Shop Owner guy which I really enjoyed. Renji was kicking the crap out of Ichigo but the whole time Ichigo was studying Renji's attacks and waiting for the perfect opening and as soon as he found it. BOOM. Ichigo broke Renji's sword and practically split him in two. I find it hard to believe that Renji could be dead, I'm going to assume he survives this and will be back. What I really don't understand is why Renji doesn't try to resuce Rukia too. He's complaining about how Ichigo is the whole reason why Rukia will have to die and if Ichigo didn't steal her powers than Rukia would be fine and such but he wont let Ichigo save her and prevent her death. If Renji is gunna fight so hard to prevent Rukia from being saved then he shouldnt' care if she gets killed.

I'm thinking back to the Dark Tournament that Yusuke and Co. went through in YYH and how all those different opponents you were introduced to were all pretty awesome. So far, all the Soul Reapers I've really gotten to know have been totally lacking. I'm most interested in EyePatch and Little Girl but I we haven't gotten to them yet, I'm sure once they get unlost i'll learn more about them.

Episodes 32:
RENJI FLASHBACK! Renji and Rukia were childhood friends and then they sorta grew apart when Rukia was adopted by the Kuchiki family. How sad. Seems like Rukia had a thing for Renji but that didn't really pan out. Renji begs Ichigo to save Rukia before he passes out, Ichigo and co. run off to the sewers to recover from the big battle.
Episode 33:
FILLER TIME! But oh man what great filler. I was waiting for us to get back to Ichigo's sisters and hey! its Don Kononji (or whatever his name is) Buuhahahaha! Love that guy. Really great episode with the Don and the sisters and the kids that work for Shop Keeper (the little girl is still my favorite character so far) KARAKURA SUPERHEROES!!!! Really can't wait for more of that. The one thing i didn't like was the explanation for where Ichigo is. Don asks if he's home and his sister just says "he's not home", nevermind the fact he's been missing for like a week.
