NOW for a very special trainwreck episode of IMPACT

Pre-show: Stacy hypes the Direwolves (64); Dragons d. Cor Von/Taylor (55, heels poor team chem); Slaughter awkwardly compliments the Dragons while Tajiri explains that it is 2011 and we don't use racial language of this sort (61)

-Styles and Abyss are in the ring to kick off the show. Styles is still disturbed by Daivari, but realizes he's beyond help after fighting him last week. He is set on stopping Slater and his vaguely evil ways. Abyss just wants to kill Morrison. Cabana couldn't be here tonight, but they're going to take care of bidness in the ME!
Rating: 75

-Match: Rock'n'Roll Express v. Wild Samoans
Things are just not going well for the Samoans of late, and they are visibly frustrated by their lack of success in this match. RnR get the win.
Rating: 62

-AAE and Sabu are out. (Awesome's in Japan tonight) They mention their backup plan for Bubba Ray...and bring out SIMON DIAMOND. This ECW stable is getting more and more tenuous.
Rating: 46

-Cruiserweight Title: Sabu (c) v. Kazarian
With his new enforcer at his side, Sabu....gets owned pretty badly and jobs to a whiffed elbow from Diamond.
Rating: 61

-Diamond gets on the stick and agrees that this stable is carrying lots of deadweight. He and Estrada put Sabu t'rew a tayble. Nobody gives a damn.
Rating: 30

-#1 Contender: Garvin and Shango v. Faces of Fear
It's clear that Garvin and Shango aren't quite the same as the Freebirds, and then Gordy runs in on Garvin to seal the deal.
Rating: 65

-Strike Force come out and announce that they didn't wanna wait until Ultimatum....so they've challenged Priceless to a match TONIGHT.....and the losing individual will leave the company!
Rating: 56

-No DQ Loser Leaves Town: Strike Force v. Priceless
These matches would have more suspense if I didn't spoil departures in the news section! Santana submits Dibiase Jr. after a hard battle. Cody is distraught.
Rating: 72

-Jesse Barr is in the ring to call out Guerrero. He's his own man now! Guerrero comes out and laughs him off, calling him a disgrace, a total failure, and a disgrace to the Barr family. He slaps Jesse in the face, but just then ART BARR makes his return to the fed, and tells Eddie to back off his bro. Art doesn't want trouble between them, so it'd be best if Eddie just leaves. Guerrero is shocked, but backs down for the time being.
Rating: 58

-Match: Styles/Abyss v. MNM v. Following
Following continue to look menacing, rolling to a win here with only minimal help from Daivari.
Rating: 83

Post-show: HAIL SLATER (71); AMW d. Gordy/Bubba, Speed Muscle to retain (43)

Overall: 72 SUCCESS lol angles
Rating: 3.25

So if you're wondering who all we stand to lose in the next two months:

*spoilers*

Sabu is gone.
Ted is gone.
Bubba Ray has one appearance left although I might be able to keep him
Morton has one or two.
Omega MIGHT be gone but probably isn't.
Garvin's gone in a month.
Gordy might go with him.
Slater's up soon and I give him about a 50-50 of staying
Ditto Slaughter.
Awesome and Simmons are up soon but will probably stay.
Barbarian's up soon and is going to be cutting it really close on owner goals.

And that's before any random piracy, although the promotion pacts have cut down a lot on that.

special dwindling roster episode of IMPACT

Pre-show: Bubba Ray issues an open challenge to the Cruisers, putting his career on the line because he wants to squash one...Kazarian accepts (58) and squashes him. (51) Cody will never forgive Strike Force and will in fact destroy them. (70)

-Match: Martel v. Cody
An enraged and focused Cody takes down Martel with surprisingly little trouble.
Rating: 74

-Faces of Fear are cutting a bland promo, when AMW interrupt and cut a slightly less bland one. ME WANT BELT YOU HAVE BELT RAWR
Rating: 53

-Match: Rock'n'Roll v. Samoans
This return match was apparently requested specifically by the Samoans and Schultz. They're also pissed tonight, and get a huge win over their veteran opponents.
Rating: 70

-The Wild Samoans aren't done yet. With encouragement from Schultz, they absolutely wreck RnR after the match! The exclamation point comes when they put Morton t'rew a tayble and he has to be strechered out.
Rating: 54

-US Title #1 Contender: Slaughter v. Garvin v. Tajiri v. Cor Von v. Gordy v. Matthews
Garvin and Gordy quickly get themselves disqualified going after each other. Matthews hangs back as Slaughter eliminates Cor Von and Tajiri, and Morrison helps him get the big win.
Rating: 72

-MNM celebrate in the ring until Abyss's music hits. He starts to clean house, but Simmons comes out with Edwards and talks him down. There's an awkward three-way staredown between the Wolves, MNM, and Abyss.
Rating: 63

-Match: Styles v. Finlay
Styles goes through Finlay in a straightforward but tough match.
Rating: 82

-Guerrero tracks down Jesse Barr backstage and starts berating him again. Art once again steps in to stop it, but Eddie asks what he sees in his brother. Eddie storms off, leaving a depressed Jesse and a pensive Art.
Rating: 63

-Match: Colt and Santana v. Slater and Daivari
Daivari may be getting a push, but he's still a cut or two below anybody else in the match. Colt gets a win.
Rating: 83

-The Following all rally and attack Colt...Santana attempts a save, but is intercepted by Cody. The heels win today.
Rating: 65

Post-show: Following promo (79); Dragons d. Harts, Awesome/Diamond (49)

Overall: 75 lol angles Daivari far over-used
Rating: 3.22

Man I started futzing with the go-home IMPACT for Ultimatum and I have more storyline development to do than I can actually fit on the card. Been kinda like that all month, and it's the opposite of how my booking usually goes.

It's a nice problem to have, but I wish that I had it for reasons other than a last-minute forced overhaul of the card and even the roster itself. >_>

This might actually be a decent IMPACT......nahhhhh.

Pre-show: Yoshino d. Doi, Swick to become CW #1 Contender (48); Gibson enlists the Golden Dragons for later (65); Cody promises the destruction of Strike Force (73)

-Match: Santana w/Martel v. Cody
Ref bumps, and both Cody and Martel grab chairs...but Martel turns and hits Santana! Cody goes on to win after this TREACHERY.
Rating: 77
Turn didn't go particularly well.

-Martel says that he realized last week that he was jealous of Cody. Cody is ALMOST as dashing as he is, and without Dibiase Jr. holding him down, he had a renewed fire and focus that Martel wanted for his own. And now, with Santana out of his way, he's going to turn NLW upside down!
Rating: 55

-Match: Gibson and Golden Dragons v. Diamond, Awesome, and Wild Samoans
A crazy brawl ends with Tajiri getting the pin on Awesome, much to the ire of the Samoans.
Rating: 68

-Gordy gets on the mic, and he wants a match with Garvin to prove he was the driving force behind the Freebirds. Garvin is a pathetic bug, and he's going to get squashed come Sunday.
Rating: 68

-Tag Titles: AMW v. Faces of Fear
WHY WAIT FOR SUNDAY LOL....AMW get far too cocky, and pay for it dearly. No-show my PPV's, will ya? And then suddenly FoF were two-time champs.
Rating: 59

-Guerrero stops by Art Barr's locker room for a visit. He says that they've been like brothers for a long time, and he needs Art to re-examine his priorities. He's fighting Jesse this Sunday....and Art's been chosen as the referee. Art seems pretty torn as Eddie implores him to honor their friendship.
Rating: 64

-Match: Abyss and Dire Wolves v. Guerrero and MNM
Nobody's really sure why Eddie's there, except to balance out the teams, but he does well for himself until Jesse Barr comes out, allowing Abyss to get an opening and the pin.
Rating: 79

-Colt comes out to shill the ME and promise victory this Sunday. Slater pops out to tell him that he has a plan. Colt doesn't care, but Slater laughs and tells him to have faith.
Rating: 71

-Match: Cabana and Styles v. Finlay and Daivari
The Following minions put up quite a respectable fight, but as expected, go down in the end.
Rating: 87

-Colt and Styles are celebrating in the ring, and the lights go out! When they come back on, Finlay, Daivari, and Colt are all gone, leaving a confused Styles in the ring with some smoke. WHAT COULD THIS MEAN
Rating: 82

Post-show: MNM gonna win their matches Sunday (69); Slaughter/Kaz d. Cor Von/Taylor (40, heels poor chemistry)

Overall: 77 SUCCESS lol angles Taylor overused
Rating: 3.18

Slater's contract negotiations have been completed, whether or not they were successful. Tune in to find out~

-A very concerned Nixon opens out our show by summoning Slater to the ring. He announces that Colt Cabana is nowhere to be found! In fact, he hasn't been seen since the ending to Impact! Nixon is very concerned, but he has no choice to strip him of the NLW Title if he's not going to show up to defend it. Slater seems more pleased than shocked by this revelation, and demands that his title be brought out to him. Nixon halts him....he's stripping Colt of the belt, but that doesn't mean he's going to send these fans home without a Main Event, or letting Slater get the belt by doing nothing! He's got a replacement opponent lined up for Slater, so tonight, we're going to see a new NLW Champion!
Rating: 85

-US Title: Simmons © v. Matthews
A pretty back and forth match. Matthews knocks Simmons through the ropes with a pretty dropkick, and distracts the ref! Morrison mows Simmons down with the US Title Belt! It's quick work from there, and Matthews sneaks away our new champion!
Rating: 64
Poor chemistry

-Match: J. Barr v. Guerrero (Guest Ref: A. Barr)
Art seems torn all match, and calls hesitantly for both sides. It doesn't matter a whole lot, because Eddie dominates the vast majority of the match. Jesse gets a brief hope spot, but Eddie brings it to a screeching halt with a knee to the groin, which Art allows. Guerrero immediately goes for a pin, and Art immediately fast counts three to give him the win!
Rating: 71

-Nixon runs across a Following strategy huddle backstage, and happens to mention that Finlay and Daivari are barred from ringside tonight for their suspected involvement in Cabana's disappearance!
Rating: 63

-Match: Gibson/Taka/KENTA v. Cody/Samoans
Gibson picks up a big win to avenge his fallen partner, mainly because Cody and the Samoans can't stop bickering.
Rating: 79

-Casket Match: Garvin v. Gordy
Less said about this the better. Gordy wins easily.
Rating: 59

-Gordy says that the Freebirds are buried with Garvin. He's his own man now, and he is going to dominate the playground called NLW.
Rating: 48

-Cruiserweight Title: Kazarian © v. Yoshino
Yoshino looks competent for once, but Doi accidentally costs him the match.
Rating: 62

-Tag Titles: Faces of Fear © v. Hart Dynasty
Squash match. :\
Rating: 50

-Last Man Standing: Abyss v. Morrison
Abyss keeps trying to set up elaborate spots, which backfire thanks to Morrison's amazing agility. Abyss' tunnel vision winds up costing him the match after taking Starship Pain through the announce table.
Rating: 77

-Morrison staggers back up the ramp, but he's confronted by the Dire Wolves, who object to his role in the US Title match. Matthews comes out for backup, but security comes out before a fight can start.

-”Seven Seas of Rhye” hits, and Slater strides resolutely to the ring with his new theme. He complains that giving him a mystery opponent is unfair, but he will persevere in the face of this rampant bias. Tonight will live forever as the night that Slater ascended to the throne of NLW and began his mastery of the human race, and we mortals shall count ourselves blessed to see the day. He demands to know who is foolish enough to stand in his way as the final hurdle.......and that man is AJ Styles.
Rating: 78

-NLW Title: AJ Styles v. Heath Slater
The match is worked mostly clean, with Slater's minions banned from ringside and Slater himself only resorting to a minimum of heel tactics. Possibly as a result, Styles stays half a step ahead of his foe throughout most of the match. The match is hardfought, but eventually Styles hits the Pele Kick, allowing a setup of the Styles Clash. Styles is clearly exhausted, but picks up Slater....Slater wriggles ou-ROLLUP! 1......2.....................................3! YOUR WINNER AND THE NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW NLW CHAMPION: HEATH SLATER

-COLT CABANA makes his way to the ring to kick off the show. He's still not sure what happened, but he had this weird dream where he was in Japan teaming with Billy Gunn and Kid Kash, and when he came woke up, his title had been taken away! He's pretty sure Slater is behind it somehow, and he never lost the belt, so he wants it back. Slater comes out to mock him, and informs him that he should have showed up at the PPV. Colt's time has passed, as it was merely marking time until the dawn of the Slater Era. Styles comes out to remind Slater that he only won with a rollup, and such a fluke wouldn't happen if they fought again. He empathizes with Colt, but thinks he deserves another shot. Slater laughs them both off, and has a plan. Everybody in the back wants a piece of him, right? Everybody thinks his win was a fluke, right? Well, the next PPV happens to be War Games. He proposes a War Games match with his team against whoever Cabana and Styles can put together. Styles and Cabana like the idea, but like it even more when Slater announces that, if their team wins, whoever earns the submission will win the title! However, if Slater's team wins, he gets to pick the next contender, and it won't be any of them!
Rating: 68

-Match: AMW v. Gringos
Eddie and Art haven't missed a bit, and roll to a brutal win.
Rating: 77

-Jesse comes out after the match to demand answers from Art. Art tells him that Eddie was just going to destroy him further if he didn't step in, and that he called the match for Jesse's good! Eddie suggests Jesse vamanos before Art beats him down for his own good.
Rating: 58

-Match: Dynamite Duo (Santana/Slaughter) v. Gordy and Martel
The story here is Terry Gordy, rather than the new IMOWW champs. He rolls over both the faces.
Rating: 77

-Gordy and Martel celebrate. They're both liberated from crappy partners, and they're both going to dominate.
Rating: 53

-CW Title: Kazarian © v. Doi
Kaz gets a decently easy win.
Rating: 66

-Bubba Ray runs in and takes out Kazarian!

-Abyss is in the ring with the Dire Wolves. They don't like MNM at all. They're going to hurt them. Oh, and Cody too.
Rating: 73

-Match: Abyss/Dire Wolves v. MNM/Cody
The faces take this one, with Edwards pinning Matthews.
Rating: 74

-Match: Golden Dragons v. Following
The Japanese crew can't quite get a real pinning situation going, and Slater and pals get a chance to shine en route to a win.

Alright, I had to give you a teaser for the news.

Tim literally booked himself in his ME.

He's a Sprules/Tyler tier wrestler who's a jobber in his own fed, and he put himself in the ME.

Also.

He held a match for the tag titles vacated when Roode left the company.

One half of the winning team signed with Zhang the very same night.

no its brilliantin terms of longterm booking. especially following didnt do it. it lets styles feud with slater while colt chases down his assailant.

then once slater has dispatched styles you can go back to slater vs colt with way more build and still no match til then.

You could argue that I have permanent booker's block and that's why IMPACT

Pre-show: Bubba Ray issues an open challenge for War Games (62); Speed Muscle d. Kazarian/Omega (51); Gringos are happy to be back but Eddie has business to attend to RIGHT NOW (60)

-Match: Slaughter v. Guerrero
Eddie just runs circles around Slaughter, and picks up a commanding win.
Rating: 70

-Guerrero is about to make his way to the back, when Our Champion Heath Slater comes out to the ring. Guerrero cuts him off before he can speak, telling him he won't be suckered in. Slater admits that Eddie is probably too smart to come to Slater, but he does have a more...mundane offer. He gets to pick his next contender if his team wins War Games....and he's prepared to make that Guerrero if he joins up! Eddie thinks pretty hard about it.
Rating: 74

-Match: Garvin v. Daivari
Garvin leaves on his back and the Following keep on rolling.
Rating: 57

-Terry Gordy comes out and flattens Garvin. He destroys him until Tajiri comes out to confront him.
Rating: 48

-Match: Abyss v. Diamond and Awesome
The re-revamped Team ECW completely fail to impress...it's like they suddenly have no future with the company. Abyss squashes 'em both.
Rating: 68

-Direwolves and Stacy are backstage and ready to hype, but Simmons says he has to do this one alone. Matthews has taken something important to him, and Simmons will stop at nothing to retrieve it. That's why his career is on the line. He will beat him once and for all, and do it twice.
Rating: 60

-US Title v. Career 2/3 Falls: Matthews © v. Simmons
….But Simmons doesn't have it anymore. A competitive first fall comes to an abrupt finish when a frustrated Simmons goes to his dark place and gets himself DQ'ed for not breaking a choke. The DQ ruling brings Simmons back to his senses, but a collected Simmons is a Simmons that can't win this match, and Matthews eventually rallies to retain in two straight falls.
Rating: 53
Poor chem

-Simmons is absolutely in shock, and MNM slap him around a bit until an irate Edwards drives them off.
Rating: 65

-Santana's backstage with Colt. He begs for a spot on the War Games team, which Colt will think about granting.
Rating: 66

-Match: Colt/Santana v. Following
Things go okay for our face friends and their tryout of sorts, but Martel runs in and takes out Santana! He poses as the Following mop up their opponents.
Rating: 82

Post-show: Slater reminds us that he is crushing our hopes and the very spirit of NLW at War Games (65); Gibson/Dragons d. Cody/FoF (51)

Overall: 68 SUCCESS lol angles
Rating: 3.22

oh hey my PPV is more wrecked
