SPOILERS TO WHERE THE ONE OF US HAS PROGRESSED THE FURTHEST

If I had made a playthrough of what I've done so far I would look like such an incredible moron.

Highlights:
- Various game overs
- Getting flown to Castle Town by Kaepora Gaebora when I am at Lake Hylia and don't want to fly to the goddamn castle.
- Struggling to get past the guards.
- Finding the Great Fairy Fountain instead of a way into Jabu Jabu
- Being horrified by the great fairies and their not-majestic-ness (i've found three so far woo)

Alright, I started playing the game. I named Link "Link." I was going to name him Batman but I decided against it, mostly because Link is not cool enough to pass himself off as Batman. I began playing the game and...HOLY F*** THE DOUBLE VISION.

This is as good a time as any to tell you guys I'm playing the 3DS version. This is my first 3DS game. I began playing with the 3D bar thinking maybe it was too high. Even the lowest setting game me double vision from hell. Before I progressed with the story, I just began running around the village to get a feel of the 3DS and the 3D. The double vision was annoying the hell outta me. The 3DS itself feels a bit weird compared to the DS, I'd recommend you wait a bit. They are definitely going to have a redesign.

L and R buttons feel a bit clunky, and the analog stick is a bit awkward to use when holding L.

Okay, that's it. I'm turning off the damn 3-huh. When I was about to turn off the 3D(medium setting) my eyes adapted all of a sudden. It was really, really sudden. My head no longer hurts, I can move away from the 3DS a bit and it doesn't break the effect, and the 3D looks impressive as hell.

...What the hell. Huh. Hand is beginning to get used to the 3DS as well, but I still think the stick is placed at a rather bad place for games that make you hold L a lot(like Zelda). Alright, 3D is great, hand is used to the 3DS, time to progress with the plot a bit. I began walking around the village, and saw a guy humping a rock. Seriously what the hell. I imagine I'm 10 years or so late to that joke. I regret nothing.

A dickbag is blocking my way. I need to get a damn shield and a sword because he is a dickbag, and that's what dickbags do. I begin walking around for a bit, looking for the shop and-uh battery warning.

...Gee looks like I forgot to charge the 3DS before playing! I'm surprised it even lasted this long.

Uh I'll continue later once it's charged.

I like the stick but I'd prefer it were convex instead of concave because my thumb slips out of concave less than off of convex (weird i know)

Yeah, my thumb slips a bit from the 3ds' stick too. I imagine it could be annoying unless I get used to it. Overall though, the 3DS is comfortable. I refuse to believe there are people who play with max 3d settings though!

Other games that fit into that category for me are Twilight Princess, Yoshi's Island, Melee, and Smash 64.

Once you know how to break the game open, OoT can be beaten in about an hour and fifteen minutes if you plow through it, or about three hours if you actually go into all the dungeons. Dante has JC at an advantage there.

Adventures of the first dungeon.

((By the way, just clarifying the "played the game as a kid once or twice," that means I held the controller for 15 minutes while playing the game once or twice as a kid, not "finished the game once or twice."))

Very well. After getting used to the 3D and having my 3DS charged, I went on to look for a sword and a shield. After a bit of searching, I found an opening just small for a child to pass. What the hell? Is this a village of midgets?
...Then again I don't see any adults in the village. So uh...maybe? Anyway, time to look for a sword. There must be one here, right? INDIANA JONES BOULDER COMING STRAIGHT AT ME. RUN LINK RUN. TATATATA...uh I took the boulder head on and kept walking straight. Okay. I found it. The KOKORI SWORD.

...The shield is 40 rupees. I have...10. Uh. Okay. KLEPTOMANIA TIME! Link has become insane after finally getting a fairy, and is now going inside everyone's houses to steal their money. He is also cutting everything he sees. Man Link is crazy. OKAY DICKBAG HERE. I GOT THE SWORD AND SHIELD YOU ASKED FOR. NOW LET ME PASS.

The dickbag has let me pass. The talking tree is telling Link to go inside it. You know if you were just reading the dialogue with no other imagery and had no idea the Great Deku Tree was actually a tree, the whole scene makes the Tree look like a pedophile.

The first dungeon has begun. It didn't seem to complicated, but my "climb everything" addiction eventually got to me because I kept trying to climb those damn walls before getting the slingshot to kill the spiders. But uh, once I got the slingshot, the spiders were goners. Goners. The dungeon is pretty simple, but pretty fun too. Setting things on fire is always the way to solve any problem!

The boss was pretty easy. It took two slingshots to the eye and then SWORD SLASH LIKE CRAZY. So after all of that, the tree is still going to die. Hey no problem Tree. I got a sick item thanks to you! I don't give a crap if you are dying!

So, as I'm leaving, Dickbag starts to complain that I killed the Deku Tree. Hey **** you Dickbag. I didn't kill it, I just went inside it and set it on fire!
...Okay maybe I did kill it, BUT WHO GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO BE UPSET?

My first instinct was to go inside Dickbag's house and steal all his money right in front of him. HEY DICKBAG. MEET BAG OF DICKS. HA. HA. HA.

Then I began to talk to some losers before leaving the village. Apparently Kokiri die if they leave the forest. NOT LINK MOTHERFLIPPERS. BECAUSE HE IS THAT DAMN GOOD. Either that or he uh isn't a Kokiri. I'M GONNA GO WITH JUST THAT DAMN GOOD.

Link is about to leave the village but GIRL LOOKS AT LINK. SHE MAKES SAD SPEECH. SHE GIVES HIM AN OCARINA.
I began to screw around with the Ocarina. I know the n64 version used the C-Stick, but the 3DS version is pretty good too. Using 3 buttons...uh, 5 buttons. It's fun.

Alright, SCREW YOU VILLAGE. I'M LEAVING BEFORE YOU FIND OUT I KILLED YOUR ANCIENT TREE THING. HAH. HAH. HAH.

I did a little more Forest Temple at the wisdom tooth doctor's today and I made it through flawlessly. But I had to backtrack three times to get this one chest and all that was in it was ONE RESTORATIVE HEART. Also there's one chest in the room with the massive boxes you have to push that I can't find/get to.

I just beat Phantom Ganon and oh my god the first time I failed incredibly because Navi was like ATTACK WHEN HE USES MAGIC but that didn't work so I just ran out of arrows and died and then the second time I reflected the magic back >_>

My thumb definitely slips off the 3DS stick as well. It gets pretty annoying in some fights like the Big Octo in Jabu Jabu's Belly. I don't get how you wouldn't find that cave in the Ice Cavern though. >_> Like, if it's 1 off room (and I'm hoping you had the map and could tell), it seems like a pretty obvious thing to check out before you go to a chain of rooms.

Yeahh, I don't get it either. I unfortunately had to start there several times after Jabu Jabu's Belly when my flash card got jostled out in my pocket/my battery died.
