...And most of us have probably played a number of games we've never touched until recently, which one of those games was the biggest surprise or the best in your opinion? As for me, I had a lot of fun with Atom Zombie Smasher and SpaceChem, but I think the biggest surprise was Spiral Knights. I previously thought, well it's just one of those little free games how good could it be? Then I tried it out while going for the achievement and it was actually quite fun. I think I'll probably keep playing it for awhile as soon as I get some days off from work, despite all the other games I'm playing and want to finish.

Altitude. I'd played it a bit before, but I'd forgotten how fun it was.

biggest surprise of the sale probably goes to last remnant because that game never is on sale. like i'm pretty sure you can go through a year or two and it wouldn't show up.

Servers are too busy now, I can't even download. Just bought 'The Mawsome pack' (The Maw and all DLC) for 3 bucks. I actually already owned The Maw, but I prefer the Steam version and I didn't have any of the DLC, so why not? Fun little 3d action/adventure/puzzle platforming game, definitely worth 3 bucks.

Atom Zombie Smasher is good fun, but so frustrating when you get the faster zombies and shorter daylight. I'll restart a mission umpteem times and still never win. Then you get some missions where you manage to wipe out all the zombies and save everyone without much difficulty at all. It just fluctuates so much, overall I am enjoying it though. In the July mission I managed to save everyone which was more than enough for the achievement, however it took about 4 restarts to do so.

SpaceChem has been surprisingly fun, albeit confusing. Spiral Knights is good too but I'm not sure how much more I will genuinely play it. Trine is good as always, in the short 1-2 level doses I inevitably end up playing it in. Atom Zombie Smasher has been absolutely amazing though. I've already beaten the default campaign twice since I finally started playing.

I've been unable to play any of the Sam & Max pack due to busy Steam servers though. -_-

Yeah, there were a few times when I restarted over 30 times when I just needed the right stars to align to kill every zombie before nightfall or something. Still hugely fun, especially when you get your artillery properly leveled up.

Definitely Atom Zombie Smasher for surprise gem of the sale.

I already had SpaceChem, but it's great to see others enjoying the goodness!

I didn't actually buy any games cause I don't have a debit card atm but I had a bunch left over from potato sack and getting golden potato( Valve Complete pack) to play that I never did. Plus I was busy getting tickets ( Ended up with 25)

Day of Defeat is surprisingly alot more fun than I thought it would be.

It's pretty much a WW2 TF2.

this is actually a holdover from the last sale that I just didn't play until this one because of an achievement, but Serious Sam HD 2 surprised me with how fun it is.

haven't really gotten to play much of the other stuff I bought yet... I tried Spiral Knights for the achievement too and I was thinking "this is kind of ok... like a multiplayer 2D Zelda" then I found out about the energy system and totally lost interest because I kind of hate the concept of a game limiting how much you can play it.

It's not that the servers are too busy, it's the fact I can't play it while using my wireless router, which they still haven't patched.

Of the ones I've tried, I think I'm liking Jamestown way more than I thought I would. It's a really good bullet hell game, and it has no underage children in it!
