I've never gotten very far in Kingdom Hearts because I didn't grow up with Disney so the charm was lost on me. I've considered trying it again sometime just for the battle system but... well, whatever.

So uh, dare I ask... what makes KH fans so creepy? I mean, I get a lot of them by being part of the FF fanbase. Is it their tendency to say disturbing things about Disney characters? Or the fact that some of them are in their thirties now and talk about how much they wish they were Sora?

I guess that's pretty creepy.

KH fans have the unfortunate problem of being fans of a series that gets prequels, sidestories and sorta-sequels released frequently. This makes any fanbase dangerously obsessive with its plot and goes crazy easily.

Also they get way too attached to characters. Like at any given point you can just go ahead and find someone writing essays on why character X doesn't suck and people are just being unfair to his/her darling character. It's weird.

Not all KH fans are bad, it's just that...there are some that are really, really creepy.

The Final Fantasy fanbase has always been pretty bad. You'll have some cool folks (I'm one of them!) of course but it's quite common to see fans of different entries duking it out like their lives are dependant upon 'winning'.

FFXIII in general has caused quite an uproar. Same for XIV basically failing. But then so did XII when it came out. And so did XI. And X-2. And on a smaller scale for X. And on a slightly bigger scale, IX. And on a bigger scale than that, VIII. And then there were a few vocal fans who actually despised VII upon its release. And believe it or not, there were those who found VI 'too radical a departure from the series standard' back in Japan. And V wasn't as good to IV with some people. And...

...and then there are the spinoffs. And there's the fact that many fans feel as though there's been a tremendous talent exodus at the company in the past decade while some genuinely prefer a lot of what's come out since. And then there's the argument of battle systems. And then the argument of composers. And then there's the "screw your entire series, x game or series is so much better" wars. And then there's the neverending "Amano vs. Nomura" animosity. And then there's the neverending "VI versus VII" ordeal.

And don't even get me started on character-based fiascos.

I didn't really care much to know but I saw mostly Pixar films as a kid. The one prominent Disney movie in my life was.. Mulan. I never really had much of a drive to play any KH.
