Hmm, thought FF7 would be farther along by now.

I see signups for NFL are up, so I guess signups for Violin Concerto Mafia will go up well after I return from Austria Sunday night (aka Tom you can stand down). They'll probably be up Thursday at the earliest, I've got rehearsals Tuesday and Wednesday and hopefully FF7'll be under 20 by then.

Oh, of course. This discussion might have been totally different had town lost.

But the thing is, I kind of like the idea that Prosty isn't a 100% confirmed town role once it appears. And really, there's no reason it should be - perfectly viable role for scum (as opposed to, say, Mayor or DV) and having some added WIFOM to it might let it fit better in some setups. <_<

By the way, I want responses: Who is in favor of de-tabooing scum prosty? It is only broken because no one wants it in the game. If it is not taboo, it would no longer have that "no way..." vibe to it. Just saying. Talk, mafia people, talk.

Honestly, it only serves as a way for host to lie to town.

Right now, prosty is essentially "confirm yourself to 1 person at night".

The added utility of "did they get up or not" rarely ever comes into play due to the fact that the person you targetted -knows- they were slept with.

So its already low utility(Very often scum that recently claimed vanilla wont take an action the next night).

If you give scum a prosty role, it loses its comfirmability, and now becomes incredibly low on the utility end.

Nothing is stopping people from giving scum a role that targets people at night and sees if they got up or not(Including notification in the process), but making it exactly the same as town prosty ruins the role.

the problem with doublevoter/mayor is that it gives scum extra lynch-controlling power. which is the last thing any scumteam needs

I just had an idea

somebody tell me it's bad

But basically, a game where each player slot is played by two players

So everybody's basically a mason (In addition to whatever other role they have), but their buddy is in their player slot, rather than another one. Actions would be done per player slot, rather than per player, as would lynches and kills.

(IE: Say there's a Boko/Ulti playerslot. If you shoot it, you're shooting both Boko and Ulti, but only one "player" technically.)

Well, given the current queue there'd be time to tinker with specifics. Also Mant is back in the States and debating whether to start signups now or Thursday. Input would be appreciated of "How early is too early?" because FF7 and NFL are at 19 and 16 respectively (and Violin Concerto'll start when one finishes).

I know other mafia sites have "hydras" and the way they use them is ridiculous and stupid (two or more players in the same playerslot). But if we're not idiots about it and such, I think it could be a fun spinoff.
