My friends and i just recently rewatched all three Star Wars and the entire time we were joking about how big of a hillbilly Luke was. I mean...he grew up on a dirt farm. He made out with his sister. There was the golden "I used to bullseye womprats with my T-16 back home" line, that's totally something a space hick would say. The hero of the universe was some backwater country bumpkin.

To be fair, I think this line is always overblown. I don't think she actually meant that she knew for sure the whole time, but that she felt a connection with him that she couldn't explain, and probably didn't take seriously until confronted with the answer. She thought she was an only child all her life, and she only knew Luke as a stranger at first. Even if she felt that he was sort of familiar for some reason because they were twins, she wouldn't immediately jump to the conclusion that they were related. But once told the truth by Luke, suddenly everything made sense to her. She "always knew" that there was something between them, but she didn't know for sure what it was.

That's how I see it anyway.
