No problem.

If you're actually enjoying the show at this point you're in for a real treat later on and with the first TNG-era spinoff, Deep Space Nine. The third and fourth seasons of TNG are where it really takes off and becomes much better and the writing gets more identifiable. The acting gets less wooden too. Everything really starts to peak.

DS9 is just great from the beginning to the end. If you feel like another Trek after TNG look into it sometime. It will begin by following up some little arcs that later TNG introduces too so it won't seem out-of-place or anything.
