Most of it's for a Mega Man parody/knockoff my friend's making. He needed music and I delivered.
- Can't remember if I put this one up before but here it is. It's for some kind of ice level. It was my idea to call the boss "cool guy."
- A chiptune remake of the first good song I ever wrote. People who used to participate in those one hour compos might remember it if you have stupidly good memories.
- A song for an underground castle level. Tried to make it sound really Castlevania. I'm not satisfied with the song's length but I couldn't really add anything to it that didn't make it suck, otherwise it's pretty cool.
- A sky-themed level. Tried to make this one sound really floaty and annoyingly cheerful. I succeeded and not to hype it up or anything but I think it's my favorite thing I've written so far.
The honest truth about drums is that I borrowed the instrument data from a Mega Man 10 file and have been fudging it ever since. But the funny thing is that there's really nothing to it. Almost anything you input into the noise channel will sound like noise, because that's what it generates. My kick's velocity data is 15 9 7 6 5 4 3 2 0, which is pretty simple really. Just make an instrument with something like that (make sure it ends in 0, and check the duty/noise button I think) and start playing around with that instrument in the noise channel. Instead of having notes you just have 1-F, with 1 being low frequency and F being high. I like 3 for that nice, beefy snare. The hi hat's shorter, something like 15 10 3 0. Quick attack, quick release.
