I've always loved Sega, and that love has only increased with time. As a kid, I never really got a chance to experience their stuff, as my family typically stuck with Sony and Nintendo systems; over the past 7-8 years, though, I've had a blast finally going through their library. So, I'm curious: what Sega games do y'all consider to be standouts?
I think NiGHTS Into Dreams is my new favorite. I had been meaning to pick up a Saturn ever since it came out, and last week, I finally made that happen; since then, I've played quite a bit of NiGHTS, and I've been floored by it. It's basically a mix of Sonic and PilotWings, and frankly, you'd be hard-pressed to find a single flaw - it's about as addictive, polished and unique as games come.
Aside from that... obviously, the classic Sonics are great, especially the 8-bit version of Sonic 1. Shinobi III blew my mind when I played it on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, and Streets of Rage rocks too. Fighters Megamix, another Saturn title, is proving to be a classic in my book... and even some of their old arcade stuff is awesome, like Flicky!

I grew up with the Sega Genesis, so I have a lot of love for their library of 16-bit games. Sonic platformers, Comix Zone, Streets of Rage 2 and 3, Revenge of Shinobi/Shinobi 3, etc. Years later, they had great studios like Hitmaker and Smilebit, who made some great, off-the-wall style of games like Jet Set Radio/Future, the Panzer Dragoon series, Typing of the Dead, Virtual On, Crazy Taxi, Astro Boy Omega Factor, etc.
Now, most of their titles don't really appeal to me, outside of the surpringly good console Sonic titles as late. They got the guys who did Jet Set Radio doing sports games, they don't port the damn Virtua Fighter games over anymore, Valkryia Chronicles and Yakuza are good games but they don't interest me, and where the f*** is my Virtua Cop 3 port!?
Meh, they publish Clover Studios titles, its all good.
ZFS posted... Shenmue is a good time. It'll probably feel kinda dated today, but you should still enjoy it.
I still love NES Golf. "Dated" isn't much of an issue for me. :P

Oh man, I'm so stoked to play all of these. I have no idea how Crazy Taxi's evaded me for so long.
