I want to try Spotify, but it's not available in Canada yet. Rdio is, and it's apparently better, but there's neither a free option nor a free trial. I just want to see if either service is for me. As a paying service they're probably not, as I have no need to stream my collection to a mobile device or a computer when I have all my music on a hard drive or iPod, but they would be neat to play around with the social networking and playlists for a bit, I think.
I've been having a great time with Spotify. Two examples of it coming in handy would be at work, where I don't want to import my entire iTunes library to my work computer, and then in the Car with the mobile app. I was driving with my wife yesterday and we both started talking about some band we had heard of, so we loaded the Spotify app and suddenly we were flawlessly streaming entire albums that we don't have access to.
It's pretty nifty and I'm really liking it right now.
