can anyone dispute this? anyone (a multi millionare no less) that takes enjoyment out of dog fighting is an absolute piece of garbage. I dont care if he has 'served his time', he is still a barely literate thug that deserves only scorn.
and yes, he is a good football player, but I will always root against that piece of human waste.
Most people in Philadelphia hated him right away, and now most root for him because he wins.
That's just how it goes.

Glad to know PETA's gotten to you. It's just dog fighting; calling a human being "waste" over something so trivial is waaaaaaay overreacting. That kind of stuff happens literally every day, all over the world. Not saying it's acceptable, but the man did his time. Cut him some slack.

Not everybody's the perfect person in the world. I mean everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever. I think that people need a second chance, and I've always looked up to Mike Vick, and I always will.

Calling dog fighting "trivial" invalidates your entire argument.
The man did not do his time. He got a slap on the wrist for what he has done.

Maybe it's because I've never had a dog, but I just didn't care that much about what Vick did. Sure, I didn't think it was right, but the two years in jail (he served about that long, correct?) definitely seemed like he paid his dues and then some. Didn't he get the jail sentence for the illegal gambling ring and not the cruelty to dogs, anyway?

he never seemed remorseful...if he had been in an awkward/bad situation it would be one thing, but the guy commited these acts with malice and full knowledge of what he was doing. he is clearly a sociopath.
he didnt seem remorseful to me, he seemed like he was mad he got caught. the guy is barely literate, and speaks like a prison inmate already, he could give a damn about what he did. no one would ever do something like that if they had a normal, non sociopathic personality. and like a murderer, I dont give a damn even if he was remorseful, he still commited inexcusable acts for no good reason.
yes. even if vick is truly remorseful I would still view him in the same class as any psychotic sociopath you can name...it is documented in court records this guy tortured and killed dogs for his amusement...he deserves only scorn.
Stop talking s*** about sociopaths with mental illnesses before you piss me off enough to track you down and inflict extreme amounts of pain upon you for my own enjoyment because that's what I want to do when stupid worthless topics like these are made... granted I'm very unmotivated and I don't like to be inconvenienced, so not only would the act of tracking you down and doing machete-related stuff be way too much work (and time and money), but even just planning such an endeavor would be a pain in the ass... so I guess you're lucky that I'm lazy and half-joking... well maybe quarter-joking...
oh yeah and I actually defended you during that shrooms/illegal activities fiasco, so shame on you for all of your posts in this topic

From: RappinHobo9292 | #013 He honestly seems to regret his actions.
I'd "honestly regret my actions" too if I lost my multi-million dollar job and got sent to prison and had to become a spokesman for PETA.
People suddenly realizing their folly after getting caught red-handed is about disingenuous as it gets. He didn't wake up morning and say "oh boy I've been doing some bad things time to turn over a new leaf;" he got busted and didn't have any choice but to repent. And it wasn't some small error in judgement, either; it was a long-term systematic felony.
I don't really care about the specifics of the crime itself, mind you. I hate dogs. Fight 'em into extinction for all I care. But a crime's and crime, and anyone who thinks an apology after getting your ass nailed to the wall qualifies as genuine is a complete sucker.
Maybe at first he really wasn't sorry, but do you think a person can't think back and reflect on their actions over time and come to realize they made a big mistake, and honestly feel regret and shame for it? He had plenty of time to think about that kind of stuff in prison.

If by 'tool' you mean 'someone with a different opinion' you are correct. Internet insults make me laugh as the one doing the insulting usually has some kind of actual emotional stake in the situation...if you dont like my stimulating topics you should probably stay away from them :-P
and I would not condemn someone for using dogs for food if it was necessary for survival...though it is a bit archaic just to eat them

You bet your ass I am. It pisses me off when something falls on the floor and I have to pick it up (whatever it is, it shouldn't have fallen on the floor in the first place. That's just bulls***). Figuring out all the necessary details to find you, then dealing with getting there, then dealing with the actual "confrontation," then the aftermath, then spending the rest of my life trying to ensure that I get away with it, whatever "it" happened to have been... that would be like something falling on the floor millions of times in a row. It is SOOOOO much more convenient to just let you get away with making this topic without extreme, violent consequences, so congrats ^_^
also quarter-joking was probably a little too serious. I was more like third-joking

So basically no one can ever realize the error of their ways after they've been caught?
Say what you will about most celebrity apologies being full of hot air, but Vick's remorse to me has seemed the most genuine of them all.

If you have to look back to feel bad on such sadistic torture, you're a scumbag.

Not to mention just killing a dog is not comparable to dog fighting. Unless you're eating the dog alive you're probably being humane.
