I always thought "Dry" meant like, no mayo or mustard or anything but the veggies stay on

and "Plain" was absolutely nothing, no veggies, no sauces, nothing

I've never heard anyone say "Dry" in regard to a burger.

But "Plain" means just the meat and bun.

Never heard "dry" but yeah "plain" means nothing but meat (possibly cheese) and bread.

I don't say dry. If i want it dry I just say "no sauce".

At Wendy's "Plain" would be just meat (and cheese if it comes with it, which it usually does)

"Plain" and "Only X" affecting cheese seems to be about a 60-40 split with my customers, and both sides will occasionally get kinda offended when I try to clarify >_<

dry means the burger was overcooked.

"Dry" is more a term for subs, where they're usually pouring oil and vinegar and the like.
