Really? They kill off Peter Parker? I mean it seems really stupid to just be like hey Spiderman died, but it's okay, another dude was bitten by a spider too. That's not how the whole story goes is it? I don't really read comics myself, that just sounds really dumb.

Isn't there a newish cartoon based on the ultimate universe? I remember watching part/a few episodes of some new Spiderman in the early 2000's and thinking it wasn't very good. I don't really know what the ultimate universe is. As said though, I hardly ever read comics.

The reason I like Batman Beyond is because it makes sense. Bruce gets old and wants pass on his legacy.

This is a non-issue. The original Ultimate Peter Parker died a good death in a well-written story. Of course they're going to replace him. They're going to eventually explain his powers. Him being from a different background than Peter will lead to different and interesting stories, as opposed to just "picking up where they left off."

I hope we get more "HE STOLE THAT GUY'S PIZZA"

this. USM was good for a long time, so was UXM (though less time), but from about the time of the ultimates vol 3 the whole universe went downhill, fast. USM suffered from it the least, though, for sure.

original green lantern was white, and he's the main one. he's the one you see in Superfriends for example.
his main rival, and 2nd green lantern of earth, was white too.

because they needed a black guy, they went through storyline stuff and became not-really-green-lantern anymore. replacing was a black guy, and afterwards another white guy. black guy was in the cartoon as token black guy much the same way as black lightning was (i always loved the fact that the only black guy has to be called black). for most of the past 4 years or so now the most the black guy's done is be off panel moping, depressed, and trying to figure out how to rebuild or fix stuff he destroyed. like planets.

and goddamn i hate this change. fully expect to see parker revived as like one of the few Ultimate characters to get a 2nd life.
