Eh, depends on how quickly I'd end up dying. If it's something quick, that also looks pretty cool, then sure. If it's some long drawn out process that's boring, like starvation or an ice age, then I'll pass.

Pretty much this and some of the other posts here. Mass starvation no thanks, nothing long and torturous. Then again I guess I could just kill myself and end it fast. Definitely would like to see a major disaster destroy the world. Ice age might be kind of cool actually, but I doubt it would actually destroy the world. It survived one ice age, we have a ton more technology now to survive another one.

you need to clarify 'end of the world'. literally the world being destroyed aka no more earth, or merely the wiping out of humanity?

the former would by our best estimates take some 5 billion years or so to happen; the latter...not so much.

humanity as a species is pretty much doomed to extinction (even if we avoid all the quick ends so lovingly played up by the media), as eventually genetic variance will give rise to different forms alien to us as we are now.

that said, i probably wouldn't want to be alive during either. maybe the earth blowing up scenario if i could watch from an observer standpoint ala that space station on Doctor Who. it would be a neat sight to behold :p
