It was a really old FPS, like I remember playing this on a mac in 1996 or so, so it was of the Doom/Wolfenstein era of FPSes but a little newer than that I think. The only really memorable feature of the game that I can recall was that you had a power that let you talk to peoples' corpses and at one point I'm pretty sure you could talk to a dead Hitler.
Oh f***, that was it! I just looked at a youtube video and can't believe how much I forgot about this game, like the fact that it's almost as much an RPG as much as it is FPS. I had completely forgotten this game for like 15 years until just now and it seems to be obscure as hell so I wasn't sure anyone would know it.
Apparently Bungie made it which is pretty interesting.
Since you played it on Mac, Bungie should have been your first thought.

I didn't even know who Bungie was at the time and I forgot who they were by the time they made Halo. I never made the connection and forgot Bungie even made stuff before Halo. Pathways into Darkness was a really cool game though.
