XL will let you play Musou Mode (story mode) in two-player co-op and with any character you want, things you weren't able to do originally in DW7. You have to swap discs to be able to do it though.

Wow, treasure weapons are all that was really missing from DW7, but now they're back

Mixjoy sounds dumb as hell though... that's what previous XLs were like too? I probably won't get this game anyways since I haven't even touched Conquest mode yet in hte original

Eh, me and my mate just finished DW7's Conquest mode. Dunno whether we can be bothered to go back and do any more, especially as we've now moved onto Gundam 3.

Funny story, we had about thirty missions left on Conquest on Sunday and about four hours to do them in. Normally, we would methodically work our way through the officers before taking out the end one, however by this point we were too strong for Hard, but not strong enough for Chaos, so we would ride through the swarms of enemies and race towards the final officer, which caused, most of the time, the entire map's army to chase after us and we would just fight the entire army and all the officers all at once.

The two big Tiger missions were especially fun for this.
