- In Japan, Peace Walker is being sold separately which is why they're getting a voucher for MGS1 while for the US we're getting Peace Walker as part of the collection. I'm guessing this means we won't get a voucher for MGS1.
- much like the PoP and GoW HD collections, the games will be available separately to buy on PSN if you don't want to whole collection
- MGS3 includes it's Subsistance bonuses which means it'll have Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake

Neat I guess. A voucher for the original version I guess?

Why not Portable Ops? I know it's pretty much the weak link in the series, but if they're redoing Peace Walker, they might as well throw in its PSP partner and make it properly complete. Improved controls would actually fix quite a few of its problems too.
Or is it something silly like "We can't have a game called "Portable" on a home console"?

MGS1 isn't being remade in HD though and that would really be the only reason to get the HD colection if you've already played through the games. As much as I like MGS, I'm really not interested in companies re-releasing games I already own in HD.

I thought that it was already announced that all HD PSP games will not recieve new online/infrastructure modes and as such would still have to go through Ad-hoc Party for multiplayer.

The only certain death in the universe is Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons. Not changing this line until I beat Seven Heroes (2/24/07)
Peace Walker isn't part of that PSP Remaster series. It's separate of that -- it'll have trophies/achievements, leaderboards, and it's also coming out on the 360.
I guess this doesn't specifically confirm any online, but it mentions 1-6 players being possible. Also noticed that the PS3 version comes with a digital download code for the PSP version of the game. That's pretty cool.
I don't even get how they call ZoE is a collection to begin with, unless they bring the include the GBA game (which they should). They should just call it the ZoE2 HD version. Nobody cares about ZoE1.

I want to say Kojima wasn't directly involved with Portable Ops, but I may be mistaken here.
Now, if, say, a Zone of the Enders, Silent Hill, Devil May Cry, or Final Fantasy collection came out, THAT might be a case where I'd want to skip out on the entire collection, no?

So did Konami explicitly say that Subsistence would have MG1 and MG2? Because the version that comes in the Metal Gear Solid Essentials Collection is still Subsistence, and has some of the bonuses, but not all, including MG1 and MG2.
