Or if he had said, "Ledger's performance as the Joker is highly overrated in my opinion", perhaps a polite debate would have ensued, but he didn't say that either. He clearly posted in an abrasive fashion intended to draw negative responses instead of intelligent debate aka trolling. Unfortunately for him nobody seriously bit the trollbait.
