It's a B2P MMO (Buy the box, no monthly fee), though I guess you already knew as much !

That actually looks really cool now. I've never liked MMOs, but monthly fees are big reason for that, which won't be a problem here.

Also was that boss fight a "dynamic event"? It seems to require some organization and such, not something people can randomly pop in and help you fight.

It definitely was a dynamic event, I'm pretty sure every boss fights in this game is a result of a dynamic event except for bosses found in dungeons.

I guess what I meant is that I expected dynamic events to be more like... Everyone's just questing in the area and its like "oh no zombies/huge dragon/orcs/whatever are attacking the town, better go help kill them". But that dragon seemed a bit difficult with all the different roles you have to play (manning the cannons, killing the bone walls, killing the random exploding guys, dpsing the dragon directly, etc). A bunch of random players who happen to the be in the same area don't seem very suited to work together that intricately.

Well this particular event probably comes at the end of a chain, so the dragon appearance is at least expected. I'm pretty sure there are a tracker on the side of the screen that tracks all the objective of the event you're in (Kill the dragon, protect the turret, protect the dudes who want to repair the turrets). The rest it just stuff you know you have to do. Like if I see a wall and notice the turrets shot are blocked by it I'm gonna try getting rid of it, same thing if I see big exploding golem things trying to get to the turrets, I am not gonna let them do that. No real need for organization unless the players are all brain-dead or just want to focus on DPSing the dragon.

Looks great. I'm going to be picking this up instead of Diablo 3 for sure, unless I just decide to only play DotA 2 and maybe Uncharted 3 instead. I don't have the time I used to.

Heh, you can totally play all three at the same time imo, unless you play U3 for the multiplayer, then it's a tad more complicated. Anyway, U3 and Dota2 are imo two games that you play in quick session, like 1 hour or so, GW2 is better for those long playing session, if you ever have them.

That was a translation error, I thought. It's confirmed they won't be revealing the next class at PAX.

Well then ! I don't really mind not having a reveal since everybody knows what the hell it'll be anyway, there's already official artwork and Mesmer characters in the GW2 novels so..

And if the surprise ain't the Closed Beta dates I really wonder what the hell is is now that PVP has been revealed.

Yeah but it'd be kinda hard to you know, show. WvWvW pvp is something huge and they'd need a lot of players to make interesting footage. The people will be there sure, but I doubt they'll have enough computers.
