Of the PS3 R&C games, which one is the better one, and are they both worth buying?

the real catch of this topic is that I don't even have a PS3 yet and am getting a bit ahead of myself

but between the two Street fighter games, R&C games, and Sonic Generations some day, I do believe it's time to buy a PS3 video game console

I hear good things about Uncharted 2 also

and if my friends weren't all so lame I could probably pick up Resident Evil 5 for some co op

uncharted 2 is good times. i play regularly online with wigs, HM, DP, numbers, KCF and others. we have a good crew!

is it like a shooting people game or what?

third person shooter, yeah, but most of the fun online modes are objective based. there's not much like UC2 online. it utilizes platforming and multiple levels on a map better than any game i can think of.

A Crack in Time is the best game in the series.

Tools of Destruction is a bit of a step back, in my opinion, but well worth playing all the same.

CiT > UYA > GC > ToD > R&C1

How much better is ToD than 1?

It's noticeably better. It'd rank closer to GC than R&C1, but GC is still a decent bit better.

There's really nothing wrong with ToD in and of itself. I can't even really tell you why I didn't like it as much.

ah okay. I think I'll buy both then! I like the whole series but the 1st one is on the lower end of my like spectrum. if ToD is a good bit better I should probably like it. only $20 these days anyway.

Oh, you should definitely play ToD just for the sake of storyline continuity.

Yes, you read that correctly. R&C actually started putting more emphasis on having a serious storyline with the PS3 games, although the humor is still there. Crack in Time's story is surprisingly good, all things considered.

oh weird. might be a bit jarring coming from UYA and how silly that whole affair is.

Like I said, it's actually done surprisingly well, and the silliness isn't totally gone.
