Only a feature video that only aired on Europe for Smackdown and that they give to literally everyone randomly as far as I remember. This was actually a Raw hype video! And he's getting merchandise like crazy! And he got an article on WWE.COM today.

And he broke all narrative tropes by going "HEY I WANT TO BE THE ONE TO WIN" and not screwing anything up.

We can get excited now!

I'm more amused by the fact that they included clips from his show where he jokes about "trying to get over" and "drawing money" and all that. Kind of interesting to see them willing to blur those lines with a guy like Ryder who is clearly not in a major story like Punk was/is.

Zack Ryder currently has 14 wins this year. For reference in order to understand how insane this is, remember he had 3 wins around Wrestlemania time. For further reference, Cena has only won 20 times this year. Ziggler has won 10 matches the entire year.

...Well, this is counting Superstars, but still!

Has Orton been pinned clean in a one-on-one this year? I remember he got pinned by Mark Henry in the match that got Christian his MitB title shot, but that was a tag match.

Can't remember any other Orton losses that weren't DQs or countouts or some other shenanigan.

After looking around the internet, I see claims that they basically gave him the mic and let him loose, telling him they'd cut him off when they felt he went too far.

That is... shocking. It's nice to see them put that kind of trust in CM Punk to come up with something that walked the line between too far and not far enough perfectly.

My question now becomes: have they completely butchered his heat since then? I may have to start watching again if not.

CM Punk is a true tweener right now. Some people like him, some people don't, he doesn't care. He acts the same with faces and heels.

Also, why hasn't WWE brought back the ice cream bars? Even if it was like a limited run that only went until Wrestlemania I feel like they would make a bunch of money for them after that.
