Board 8 > I've still never really played the original Final Fanasy, best version?

I had it on Final Fantasy Origins but never played much and sold that. Then I got it for free for the Wii and have yet to play it. But then I see there's this Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light remake on the DS and am considering that since it's cool like FF4DS. How is it?

4 Warriors of Light isn't a remake of the original FF. It's inspired by it, but I'm pretty sure it's a totally unique game.

I'm a big fan of the PSP version version of FF1, but fans of the old game don't like it as much because it's a lot easier.

Yeah, 4 warriors of light isn't FF 1. The PSP version has the most content, but yeah, hardest version is the original NES one.

4WoL is more of a successor to Mystic Quest, but not as disliked. And yeah, either PSP or Origins, depending on if you want it to be tough and accurate or not.

oh whoops, I read this:

The first original FINAL FANTASY title for Nintendo DS brought to life by the development teams behind the Nintendo DS remakes of FINAL FANTASY III and FINAL FANTASY IV

and thought it meant original Final Fantasy and not first original on the DS.
