Oh come now, I wouldn't have bought (and quite thoroughly enjoyed) SC2 if this was some anti-corporate vendetta I had against Blizzard. I'm not so petty. My concern is for Diablo as a game, nothing more, nothing less. As it is now, Diablo 3's looking to be a bad game. I'm unhappy with that, being a fan of D2. It's as simple as that.

the RMAH is basically what has already existed for Diablo II nearly the entire duration of the game's existence.
D2's economy didn't involve Blizzard officially sanctioning the act, taking a cut of every sale, and potentially even selling items/characters directly to the playerbase.

Ebay made the money instead, yeah.

I am seriously so excited to finally play this. All the people whining about whatnot are just going to miss out on a stellar game.

Then again, I played Diablo 2 for 5 years, so maybe I'm biased. But either way, this game looks good and nothing I've read about new systems has turned me off. There's always room for change.

I'm referring mostly to the people who have stated that they won't buy the game because "it looks bad" or "I don't like this system so I'm gonna skip it" 4 years before it even comes out.

Blizzard announced a $10 fee for unlocking the game, a one-time fee to pay for battle.net upgrades and all the future patches Diablo III will get. They decided to switch to using the RMAH, and are providing an in-game currency AH for those that don't like the RMAH. I feel like Blizzard did a great job finding a superior solution to the battle.net fee, and providing gamers with an in-game option. Gamers can also just not use the AHs at all!
