Thanks. I'm planning on making a story mode at some point, but that's a long ways off. I only have 5 characters, (4 if you don't count the met), and it takes hours to make each one, so this is gonna take quite a while.

Well that took a while. I had to change a lot of code to get MC working right.



I couldn't do some of the stuff I wanted to with the attacks because it wouldn't work out when mirrored for the playable version, but oh well.

Her attacks could use some explanation.

Her chanting attack hits the square that has the same number as the enemy's last digit of their HP, or hits four panels around the middle if the last digit is zero.

Her hand raising attack does one of four effects based on the last digit of her enemy's HP.

0-2: Heal self for 20 percent
3-5: Damage enemy for 15 percent
6-7: Next attack of hers that hits does double damage
8-9: Next attack that hits her does half damage

And her finisher straight up halves her enemy's HP.

Quick poll, I have the controls set up so that you need to press a button and a direction to attack because I expected to make more attacks per character. Since I don't seem to be doing that, should I just use A S and D along with Z X and C instead of the directional controls?

I've began to work on a generic fighting game style storymode, so yeah. Won't be that interesting, but the enemies will get harder as you go so that'll be cool. Gonna have a big final boss type dealy as well. Any guesses on who it'll be? Disregard that it will have nothing in common with who it's based on >_>

Although...the plain black arithmetic attacks don't really fit with the shiny fireslinging of the rest of the characters. I wonder if I can find you something that's both mathy and colourful....

Not a requirement, or anything, just...in-case you want something other than plain black ASCII characters for attack sprites while still being in-theme for math attacks.

Actually, the size does limit things quite a bit. I'll think of something before I publish the next update I'm sure. Unfortunately I have to go out soon, but meh.

Also, final boss is about 60% done now. I just need to finish that and a few easy-but-tedious things and I'm ready to put up a game with story mode.

Turns out I'm not leaving as soon as I thought. I fixed up the graphics of MC's attacks, though compressing fractals to that size makes them look more like mini black holes than anything, which is still better than ASCII I guess.

Final boss is also coded, so I'm not far off the release. Just have to code up the storyline. Though I'm a tad lazy and there's all of one bit of dialogue each character gets to say. Part of that is having issues writing for other people though.
