I see bunch of things on Amazon. This Remix collection and then a bunch of "Session #" (Season?). What's the simplest way to watch the entire series?

I got "The Perfect Collection" back in 2003, IIRC. It was surprisingly cheap and has every episode.

Anything except the old crap that they used to release that was 3-4 episodes on a disc and you purchased the originals. Unless you want a bunch of extras or something.

Remix has all the episodes + extras like commentary on a few episodes, interviews, and uhh a remix of the opening or something. It's what I have.

Don't know if that's the one you should get, I'm just telling you what's on it.

I see the Perfect Collection but it looks like that's going to be $70 at least. There are these $30 ones but they look like bootlegs according to the reviews and the fact that they advertise 3 discs as opposed to the 6 it's supposed to come with.

Then there's the "Cowboy Bebop Remix: The Complete Collection (Anime Legends)" for around $30. This has everything? It was only 26 episodes long? And what's the deal with the Remix part?

Remix was just a remastered rerelease, after the original DVD singles/box set went out of print.

Yes, you can just get the Anime Legends brick set. That's what I did.

Uggghhh, that means I've had the bootleg this whole time. I didn't notice before, but it doesn't even have the Bandai logo anywhere. What depressing news.

Still though, I've never had problems with it, and I've had a ton of friends borrow it who all enjoyed the collection. I'll boot it up right now and let you know if the quality is poor (been several years).

Ummm yeah, this doesn't look great on an HDTV. Guess I didn't mind in 03, but it's pretty noticeable this isn't legit now. Probably not a good idea to get the Perfect Sessions. >_>

But man, this show is still pretty damn good. Just watched Session 1. Definitely a little cheesy at times, but I appreciate that.

It's not fun to decide not to torrent the series, pay $30+ for the collection on DVD, and then find out the DVDs are burned copies of the torrent you chose not to download.

Damn bootleggers.

It's best to look for a list of official releases somewhere before buying.
