I got pretty damn pumped watching Ken and Ryu go at it, especially because I had taken a decade+ long sabbatical from fighting games. Very powerful trailer. Of course, they're trying to rate these by removing all the emotions and power of the initial reactions, which is the dumbest thing ever because that's what trailers are.

That's the perfect announcement trailer! I think it nails the "return of Street Fighter" feeling that they were going for. It's the kinda thing that gets you excited for the game.

I remember all the debate from that original trailer, trying to figure out the details from it. "Is it going to be 2-D or 3-D?!"

it's not? it sounds a lot like him! either way, cutting a trailer down to 30 seconds and having a narrator explain why a specific trailer was picked is the worst way to do this list.

yeah, that doesn't tell me anything about what the game is. a new SF didn't strike me as notable because they had made so many games that I stopped paying attention. it wasn't until gameplay that I got excited about SF4.

it'd be like announcing Mega Man 9 without showing the NES graphics.

Can't say I agree! You sell a game on gameplay videos, but you build excitement with an announcement trailer like that one. Just as a trailer alone, though, it's really well-made and fun to watch. It has a unique style to it. It'd probably be top 15 for me!

it tells you that it's a street fighter game returning to its basics. it's also, as I said, visually stunning. for an announcement trailer, it does its job well. they're going to reveal gameplay details eventually, so capcom might as well create an attention-grabbing trailer that nails the tone of the game.

it's not as if it's a misleading trailer. hello, Gears of War!

They're both great, but I think Revelations is better. Mainly cause watching a 52 year old Ezio show those young punks who's boss was awesome, and I love the song playing in the background.

The Human Revolution trailer was great, but I still prefer Purity First.

Good to see MGS4 on there, but shoulda been the one with Don LaFontaine. Unless MGS4 gets more than 1 in the top 100. Hell it should be the top 100.

ME trailer is way too low. That has been one of the highlights of the gen, I think. UC2 trailer also awesome, really sums up the game pretty well. Like the Tomb Raider choice, too!
