NIME and ANATO are both great. Don't really know which one I like more of the two. Probably likes NIME just a little bit more but easily the two best Blind Guardian albums imo.

Black Turtle showed once again why you always bet on the turtle and not on the hare by winning the guru contest. Well done Guru Champ.
A fine choice, but yeah it's my fourth fav Blind Guardian album. Also, honestly, half the tracks being little ambiance tracks a minute or so long of a pub or something detracts from it, if we're ranking it as an album. I skip those, but yeah lotta great songs.
My fav is Somewhere Far Beyond, then Imaginations and Twilight World hells yeah. Then Nightfall, then Twist in the Myth, etc etc. A Night At The Opera actually I find to be not that strong compared to those, And Then There Was Silence is great but that was its own thing before the album too. Still, decent album.
Guardian always rocks, one of the all time uber best bands. Saw 'em live twice!

Sweet pizza on a bagel, I think this is the first time I've seen someone say thrash is terrible. Metallica's classic 80s albums, Master of Puppets? Megadeth, Overkill, Anthrax, Slayer, Sodom, etc etc... so good.
Also weird to trash thrash in a Blind Guardian thread, when they have much thrash in them, especially on classics like Tales From The Twilight World.

Best Blind Guardian is either of their first two albums, with Imaginations being the best of their more flowery stuff. Nightfall is bloated as all hell with meaningless fluff and mediocre tracks padding it out endlessly in between the decent parts.
