Sup everyone. I'm sure everyone here has at least tried pull-ups in the past, but I'd like to lay out some rules to make sure we're all attempting them in as similar a manner as possible.The goal is simple: try to do as many consecutive pull-ups as possible. The Rules 1. You can attempt these at a park bar, in a gym, or on an in-home iron gym thingy that hangs from your door. Any straight bar that'll hold your weight is alright. 2. You MUST use an overhand grip. No underhand (meaning no chin-ups) or side grips (meaning no gripping the prongs that extend outward on an in-home iron gym). 3. A repetition only counts if your chin clears the bar. 4. You can remain hanging as long as you like between repetitions. However, you must stop counting as soon as your grip breaks or your feet touch the ground. 5. You must lower yourself between repetitions so that your elbows are locked. 6. Minimize swinging. Do NOT swing your legs/body to gain momentum. Basically, try to imitate this guy's form:VIDEO If you can imitate his results , you are a damn beast. I'm hoping this will generate more replies than the bench press topic. Pull-up bars are just a lot more accessible than a full bench, and I'm sure many more of us have attempted em than attempted the bench press.

The last few before bench press dealt largely with sexuality (orgasms, circumcision, and alpha/beta test). I'm thinking about doing mile time soon, but only when I lower mine to levels not so pathetic cough change subject cough EDIT: I know swift made a topic about mile times recently. I should have recorded the numbers, I guess.

I'll have to try this tonight. I'm pretty out of shape now so I probably can't do as many I'd like to be able to. With that in mind, obsession with upper body strength is kind of funny considering it's the least important strength to have, and is easily the most useless. Arms look nice though.

I tried my stairs because they have gaps in the middle but I think that made it way harder... I was at 8 and then my hands slipped because I was trying to use stairs and since I fell onto the stairs leading downstairs I almost hurt myself. So... 8+ (UNKNOWN WHAT I REALLY CAN ACHIEVE!)
